It conducts examination within its jurisdiction and the present areas under its umbrella are Lahore, Kasur, Okara, Sheikupura and Nankana Sahib.

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Lahore (BISE Lahore) started its working in 1954; BISE Lahore is commanding body for conducting matriculation and intermediate examinations. Lahore board under its fair and transparent manner of work is functioning hard for the development and betterment of nation.

Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Lahore is going to announce Inter Part-2 Result 2013 in the mid of September 2013. Students from Lahore Board will be able to check their result online at 2013.boardresult.pk when the result announce from BISE Lahore.

Because of increasement in the candidature, two more Boards were placed at Multan and Sargodha under West Pakistan Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education,(BISE). BISE, Lahore were also existed at Rawalpindi and Gujranwala. The action of the BISE, Lahore has been finalized through the Punjab BISE Act 1976.
